Funding Sources Databases
UNC Charlotte offers access to the following funding sources databases to its faculty, staff with research responsibilities, and graduate students.
Pivot
Pivot is a subscription service provided by the University for faculty and staff with research responsibilities. The most comprehensive global source of funding opportunities, Pivot offers searches for many funding types in all disciplines. Users may customize optional funding alerts by email.
- Current Pivot Account-Holders. You must “claim” your existing Pivot profile in order to use Pivot to its fullest and update your profile. To claim your profile, log in to Pivot using your existing Pivot username and password. Your name is displayed in the upper right-hand corner. If you see a “claim profile” link, your profile needs to be linked to your Pivot account. Click “claim profile.”
- New Pivot Users. If you do not have a current Pivot account, go to pivot.proquest.com/register.

The Grants Resource Center (GRC), a unit of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities, offers tools, services, publications and expertise to help you secure competitive grants from federal and private sponsors.
