As part of Research and Economic Development in the Division of Academic Affairs, the Office of Research Cost Management (RCM) reports directly to the Vice Chancellor for Research and Economic Development, in parallel with Proposal Development, Research Services, Research Compliance, Technology Transfer, the University Vivarium, and the Small Business and Technology Development Center. The Office of Research Cost Management includes the following three units:
RCM provides transactional support to college-based post-award staff and is responsible for overall sponsored program financial reporting and compliance. Award Management staff assist with tasks including award set-up and Banner budget entry, cost share, release time, and award close-out. The Office of Cost Analysis deals with recharge units, effort reporting and fringe benefit and F&A proposals.
