Welcome to Research at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I hope that our website will be both helpful and informative.

To our faculty, we are committed to providing a nourishing climate in which your research, creative, and service activities will flourish. We know that you have dedicated yourselves to discovery and that you work long and hard hours to be successful. Our mission is to support you with services that advance your professional development, help you secure funding, assist you with project management, and represent your interests both inside and outside the University. Each one of us takes personal responsibility for that mission. We answer our telephones and our doors are open. When you have a problem, we hope to take care of it quickly. I encourage you to explore our website where you will find more details about the services we provide.

To the community beyond the University, we are committed to the growth and economic development of the Charlotte region and the State of North Carolina, and to becoming the third publicly supported major research university in North Carolina. But to be effective locally, we must compete nationally for resources, and it is a tribute to the quality of our faculty that we are successful in that arena. We particularly welcome research and service partnerships that will utilize the expertise and interests of our faculty and staff in addressing the needs of our community and region, and my office stands ready to help in any way we can.
